Greys are so good at giving you the stink eye. Here is Noelle with volunteer Ann, letting me know I'm rudely interrupting them... Without saying a word. :)

Severe macaws Jason and Jezebel are adopted!

When Betty and Lowell's macaw they had for 20 years died of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning their first day in a new home a few years ago, they were devastated and heartbroken. After some time to heal from their loss, they decided they wanted to give a home to a bird that really needed one... And in this case, it became two birds!

Betty reports that they have settled in and are already becoming food beggars any time they see food being eaten outside of their reach :)

Congrats and a happy life to them all!

We've discovered that Phalen (a Goffins cockatoo that tends to be fearful and easily stressed) gains some comfort and security from being snuggled in a towel, especially if he can hide his head. Here he is being held by long time volunteer Heidi. ❤️

Marianne BatchelderI'm not sure I've ever seen Phalen so relaxed. Is that a little 'too smile I see creeping up?

Lise ChristoffersonHow do you think he would do in a house with other animals? I have a busy body cockatoo and dogs and cats that are very good with her. Phalen caught my eye before and now here he is again looking so lovely.

Victor Juan Vasquezmy adopted birds all hate towels , but my heart melted when i saw Phalen's face , i am in love , do you think he might like having two more Goffins brothers , a medium sulfur crest and amazon as playmates ?

Karen Schropp Ouye-SelbeMy cockatoo is better than any watch dog. She hears everything and freaks at the trashman. We use minky baby blankets so soft. Takes alot to trash them

Sam SmithLots of stressed animals (and people, actually), benefit from swaddling. Look up Temple Grandin's squeeze machine.
