A happy adoption to share! Jessica and her father, Mark, came to TGF looking to find a friend for their current budgie, Hopper, after his previous feathered companion, Bugs, passed away. Because of Hopper's age (8 years old), they were specifically looking to adopt an older budgie from our flock. Jessica spent much time searching for the perfect companion, and finally settled on Butch - a handsome light blue and white male at the ripe age of 7.5 years old.

Jessica and her family had spent the last several years of Bugs' life taking her back and forth from the vet in order to drain the vast fluid build-up that kept occurring in her stomach. Both Hopper and Bugs were on an all seed diet beforehand, but they started mixing in pellets thanks to advice from their vet. Even with their previous diet and her medical condition, Bugs lived to be 15 years old thanks to the loving and dedicated care of her human family.

Butch has landed in a great home, complete with a new budgie buddy! Congrats to them all!

Miranda P HigginbothamThis is always nice to see, our baby lived for 17 year's in our care before cancer and she passed away. They make a great member of the family when given love and respect. Congratulations and may your baby live a very long and happy life like ours did. :-)

Jessica HanneHi guys--just wanted to share that Hopper and Butch are getting along famously; they already seem to be fast friends (the picture was taken within a few hours of getting Butch home and they've been chirping at each other and staying close ever since)! Thank you so much to everyone at The Gabriel Foundation that helped us find our newest feathered family member! :D

Cynthia ReidSerious question. I need to know before I fill my application and Vistit the center. Essential.oils diffusers, are they bad for birds? I am looking for a grey but who knows who will pick me. I just want to make sure I clean up the diffusers if they are harmful to my future baby thanks
